Product Overview

Complex Castings Finished to Fit

Die casting produces the complex geometry economically at volume, but the part is only usable once the critical features are machined. We cast, trim, machine and finish in one supply chain so that the housing arrives ready to accept its electronics and seal.

Zhigao is a manufacturer of led and communication components serving customers in Europe, North America and Asia. Every order is produced to your drawing and inspected against your specification before shipment, with full documentation supplied.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between die casting and CNC machining?
Die casting is economical at volume because the tooling cost is spread across many parts, and it can produce complex shapes with internal features. CNC machining is used afterwards to finish critical surfaces such as sealing faces and threaded holes.
Which alloy do you recommend?
ADC12 is the most widely used aluminium die casting alloy for its good fluidity and strength. A380 offers slightly higher strength, while A360 gives better corrosion resistance.
How do you control porosity?
For pressure tight parts we use vacuum assisted die casting and verify with X-ray inspection to ensure the internal structure meets your requirement.
What is the tooling lead time and cost?
New die lead time is normally 20-30 working days. Tooling cost depends on part size, complexity and the number of slides required.
What is the minimum order quantity?
We accept sample orders from 1 piece with existing tooling. New tooling normally requires a minimum annual quantity commitment.
Can you supply the parts ready for assembly?
Yes. We machine threads, sealing grooves and mounting features, and can supply with inserts, gaskets or hardware fitted on request.
