Product Overview

A Consistent Grain Across Every Part

Brushed aluminium is judged by consistency. If two panels sitting side by side show a different grain direction or shade, the difference is immediately visible. We fix the brushing direction and abrasive grade for the whole batch and anodize in one run so the finished parts match.

Zhigao is a manufacturer of surface brushing serving customers in Europe, North America and Asia. Every order is produced to your drawing and inspected against your specification before shipment, with full documentation supplied.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you keep the grain direction consistent across a batch?
Yes. Brushing direction is fixed at the start of the batch and every part is processed the same way, which is essential when panels are installed side by side.
What grit should I choose for a hairline finish?
A 180 to 240 grit belt is typical for hairline finish. Higher grit numbers give a finer, softer appearance while lower grits produce a coarser, more textured grain.
Should brushing be done before or after anodizing?
Brushing is always done before anodizing. The anodic film is transparent and preserves the brushed grain, while also protecting the surface from fingerprints and oxidation.
Can you brush a part with a complex shape?
Yes. Flat panels give the most uniform result, but we can also process curved and formed surfaces using hand-guided and flexible belt equipment.
How do you avoid colour variation between parts?
All parts in one order are brushed with the same belt grade and anodized in the same batch, which keeps colour and grain consistent across the whole shipment.
What is the lead time?
Brushing is normally completed within 3-5 working days after the parts are ready.
