Product Overview

Permanent Identifi

Laser engraving gives a mark that lasts as long as the part itself. For anodized aluminium the contrast is sharp and clean, and for stainless steel the mark is highly resistant to abrasion and chemicals, making it suitable for traceability and safety critical identification.

Zhigao is a manufacturer of laser engraving serving customers in Europe, North America and Asia. Every order is produced to your drawing and inspected against your specification before shipment, with full documentation supplied.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between laser engraving and laser marking?
Laser engraving removes material to create a recessed mark, while laser marking changes the surface appearance without removing material. On anodized aluminium, marking removes only the anodic layer to reveal a high contrast mark underneath.
Will the mark fade over time?
No. Laser engraving and marking are permanent. Unlike printing or adhesive labels, the mark cannot rub off or peel because it is created in the material itself.
Can you engrave a logo on an anodized finish?
Yes. Engraving through the anodic layer produces a clean contrast between the coloured anodized surface and the bright aluminium below, which is the most common method for branded parts.
What file format do you need?
Vector files in AI, EPS, PDF, DXF or DWG are preferred. We can also work from high resolution PNG files where vector artwork is not available.
Can you mark curved or cylindrical parts?
Yes. We use rotary fixtures and 3D marking heads for cylindrical and curved surfaces such as knobs and shafts.
What is the lead time?
Small marking jobs are normally completed within 2-3 working days after artwork approval.
